Leigh Remembers

10th November 2013

After scraping the ice off the car I set off from Bolton to travel to Leigh in brilliant sunlight to meet up with the Brethren from my Mark Lodge at Leigh, W Bro's Keith Gear, Gordon Glover & Barry Fisher.
The Remembrance Day procession started on Railway Road to Church Street Gardens, via Market Street, Lord Street & Charles Street. There was still a cold chill in the air at 11.00am when the 2 minutes silence was observed, but I experienced a warm feeling which I'm sure was emitted from a the large crowd of people there to remember the fallen.
